There are essential aspects of what I do that ensure your experience is the best and that you don't just walk away with images.. but literal ART.

What "All Inclusive Means"

All-day coverage

Because I believe in embracing the moment, I do not base my packages on an hourly rate. I base my packages on an activity basis, confirming the specific times I am needed as it aligns with the timeline.

I believe that offering something like an 8-hour package would pull the focus from the moment and focus on the timeline. Rather, I offer various packages that include experiences instead.

What this looks like practically:

Various packages offer coverage of different parts of your day: i.e. "ceremony through sunset photos" or "getting ready through grand exit"
The specific times of such events and coverage times are confirmed through the wedding day timeline - This happens later on, not at the time of booking.
Instead of "squeezing everything into 8 hours for the sake of the photos" you can take a breath and just plan your day in a more stress-free and experience focused way and we plan accordingly.

A Second Photographer

Here's the thing about having another photographer... it's just the best and worth the investment...

...

but not for the reason's you'd think.

I tell every couple this when we chat about it in our initial phone call - it's not about making sure all the scheduled moments are documented (thats easy and I can happily do that on my own). It's about catching the extra moments that you aren't around for.

While I am following you and your wedding day timeline so make sure I capture all yoru sweet moments together during the day... the second photographer is capturing everything else: that moment between your best friend and your mom while they support you - the cheers your college best friends do together during cocktail hour while you are taking family photos... all the candids that you don't get to see because you are busy getting married. :)

Additionally, a second photographer means I have a second creative brain with me - thinking of fun shots and artistic story telling points that I might not see or consider. Two brains are always better than one!

Wedding Planning Support

Whether you have a wedding planner - or just day of support - I believe it's also important for the photographer to be part of the planning process. Here's why:

Photographers pay attention to different things in your wedding plan than other vendors might. While your planner is thinking through the flow of the day, the guest experience, the gorgeous decor and vibes that you are dreaming of (yes please!) - the photographer is thinking about lighting and how much time I need to take the photos you want without making you feel stressed or fatigued... the locations that will be best, travel time between said locations... all things that impact your wedding day timeline and plans.

Additionally, being involved in the planning allows me to stay muted in the background day of - knowing your desires for your day rather than having to ask you logistical questions during your wedding.

SO many photographers just show up day of and do their best with what they are given... but this is your wedding day - and I'm not willing to risk it. I like to play an active role in understanding your vision and looking at your wedding day timeline so I can help advise on the photo timeline prior to your day. Your wedding day needs to be filled with bliss and not looking at a clock! Planning ahead allows me to collaborate with your team to make sure your day happens the way you want...

...without pulling you out of the moment.

Sneak Peeks

Because... I have zero chill, honestly. And you are probably dying to sit and stare at the wonderful images from your wonderful day. Your whole heart will be in these images.. so why wait for the entire gallery?

That sounds like torture. Also I have zero chill.

I am just as excited to share them as you are to see them.

I take pride in my work and I love seeing a couple's reaction to their gorgeous day! So naturally I have to send my favorites from the day asap.

This means that usually within the few days after your wedding, I send you a mini gallery filled with some favorites - ready for you to post on your socials, or just to see and smile over while you bask in your newly wed status,

A Digital Gallery Delivery System

It is aesthetic, allowing your view of your photos to be enjoyable and seamless - not clinky or complicated. DOwnloading is easy, maintaining the incredibly high quality of the images so that you can print them however you want, as big as you want, where you want.

Don't forget to print your photos. They are just better on paper than any computer or phone could express. Print. your. photos. (okay I'll stop).

I love my gallery delivery system. She is beautiful and wonderful to experience and all yours to store your images online so you always have a backup. Wedding photos will never ever be lost.

Film Photography

Don't even get me started on film... or do. Because it's my favorite thing to talk about.

Carly Estate on Film

I offer film with every wedding package because I believe it's an important part of the documentation process. It's unedited - nostalgic - honest - memorable. It takes photography back to it's roots and it helps me shoot better overall. My film influences the quality of my digital images and vise verse. They help me really think through my documentation process as an artist in ways that allow your photos to truly describe your day in the best ways.

Also - you get your film photos back way fast than the digital because there is no editing. And they are magical. Did I mention that they are the best ever?

Travel

Traveling to beautiful places for weddings is my ADDICTION in life. SAY LESS>

Here's the scoop on what that means from a pricing stand point:

California destinations are included in my rates (and encouraged because I love this state so much). There are no additional fees for anywhere up & down California for my weddings.
Anywhere else? I'D LOVE TO GO. Travel would be at cost - handled on a case by case situation - fees generally include gas/airfare, a place to stay, and a rental car to get me to and from the various wedding locations.
I handle my own travel bookings, I just talk through fees with you first to make sure everything sounds okay and we go from there.

I have traveled to Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada, & Louisiana for work. I am traveling to Mexico and Italy in 2027 for weddings too and I am eager to add more to my list!

Engagement Photos

I have so many reasons for why I love engagement photos....

1. They allow me to bond with my couple before the wedding day. By the end of the session, we feel like we are best friends and it's amazing.

2. We get to play and do whatever we want! Wedding photos are limited to your wedding venue/plan. Engagement photos can be whatever you want, wherever you want.

3. One of my favorite photos of my husband and I are our engagement photos... it's a very short, unique season of life where you are young, excited, starting a whole life together - the photos are just so sweet in a different way than anything else. I have that photo up on my wall and I love it more than most others we've taken. They just get sweeter with time.

I include engagement photos in some of my packages, but I offer discounted rates if you choose a different package so it's still an option - no matter what your wedding day needs end up being. I love them. Cannot reccommend them enough. <3

Budget Friendly Alternatives

Lastly, I wanted to include a little note about budgets because...

I have a heart for those who might have financial limitations.

Everyone deserves the wedding of their dreams AND they especially deserve high quality images to preserve such an important life event. I am so passionate about the important of this - I wrestle whenevr I encounter a couple that has limited resources.

If you are one of those couples and you are stressed about being able to cover the expenses - let;s still talk. Let me know what your restrictions are and we can see about making it work! I can't say yes to everyone, I also have my own family and expenses - but I try to make room to be available for those who need it. So please - tell me your budget and your thoughts and I would absolutely love to work with you if I can!
