SO MANY WEDDINGS start to feel more like a stressful and draining photoshoot and less like the amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience they were supposed to be. (Including my own.)
One of my biggest regrets about my own wedding day was that it was spent taking photos for hours and hours instead of dancing and spending time with all my loved ones.

Where do I begin??? Kait is AMMMAAAZZZZIIINNGGGGG!!!!! She did our engagement and wedding photos and she knocked it out of the park. Her editing style is STUNNNIINNGG and the film photography is such a nice added touch. She got all the shots I wanted for our wedding and the sneak peeks looks AMMAAZZIINNGG. ![Changed so much in the last year… never loved myself more. 🥰🥰🥳
From growing more confident in my creativity, to jumping into the wildness of motherhood - this crazy life looks so different than it did a year or two ago… and I am obsessed with it all.
[Excuse the personal rambling but I have some thoughts :)]
I always hear how disruptive the motherhood journey can be. I was so worried it would negatively impact my work.
So I never expected this season to stabilize my sense of self worth so much. 🥹🫶🏻 The demand of motherhood that is a constant self-denial (oof 😅) has a way of pulling your eyes from fixating on the superficial and focusing on the deeper, more stable parts of yourself.
-I’m not spending my mental energies over analyzing my face or my clothes -I’m not focusing on curated experiences that are more “Instagram worthy”… I am just showing up as I am, as authentically as I ever can, and choosing spaces that give me room to mother, create, work, and live peacefully.
Because running my own business and being a mom demands so much, I don’t have the space or time to focus on a curated life that only looks wonderful on the outside.
So I don’t.
I just document the things that are wonderful on the inside.
And it has been liberating to say the least.
I am astonished at how I love my work. Delighted in how much more I like myself; how free I am in the spaces I go, knowing that my entire self is welcome there. There is something quite beautiful about being fully seen that is fully free. And I’m officially addicted to it.
I’ve grown so much as a person and as an artist and I’m ready to keep it going. Cheers to future creative ideas and a more peace & love filled life. ✌️
